DIY Kokedama

Krissie Nagy teaches kokedama classes at Brooklyn Botanic Garden has been making and selling her whimsical kokedama at the Brooklyn Flea since 2013. She is also the owner of BK Bumpkin, an ecological garden design/build firm based in Brooklyn.

    My question is once the roots of the plant start to come out the bottom of the ball do I take it apart and plant it into a pot?  Tk u.

    I just got my first kokedama and was wondering if I can add succulents to it by just (carefully) cutting into it and inserting the roots.
