This habitat for the Carolina sphinx is a three-layer structure that mimics the vein pattern of a tobacco leaf, which feeds this pollinator when it is a caterpillar (known as a tobacco hornworm). The crevices within the box enlarge toward the entrance, supporting its fast growth.
